Nuzest is pleased to welcome Madison Hammond as its newest sports ambassador. Madison is a professional soccer player for the OL Reign in the National Women's Soccer League. We had a chance to sit down and get to know Madison Hammond, so let's see what she had to say!
A. Hi everyone! My name is Madison Hammond and I am a professional soccer player for the OL Reign of the NWSL. I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, but have lived out on the East Coast for about ten years now. I played college soccer at Wake Forest University, and graduated in December of 2019. Outside of soccer, I enjoy reading, yoga, and spending time watching new movies. One fun fact about me is that I have played the violin since I was in the 4th grade!
A. I feel like health and fitness has become such a huge industry in the last ten years. Social media and the Internet have really influenced how we as viewers interpret health and exercise, and I want to use this opportunity as a way to positively influence others in their own journey with health and exercise.
A. I feel like as an athlete, the choices that I make are really important and influential in how I perform on the field. However, I find that sometimes...it’s okay to eat things that just make you feel good. If you want to eat dessert...do it. But, along the way, I make the choices that are going to keep my performing at my best.
A. Full disclaimer… I have so many, but Trolli Sour Gummy Worms and homemade chocolate chip cookies always have my heart.
A. I have a ton of favorite healthy snacks, but recently I have enjoyed eating fresh cut mangoes drizzled with Chili-lime seasoning from Trader Joe's.
A. I am a professional athlete, so my entire life is scheduled and centered around remaining active!
A. My favorite form of exercise outside of playing soccer is hot yoga or bike riding... not spin classes, bike riding.
A. Aside from soccer, I run a personal blog called ‘Our Daily Bread’. I also enjoy painting, reading, and watching movies I have never seen before.
A. I think that if you are looking to make changes in your lifestyle or your nutrition, start small. You aren’t going to radically change overnight, but if you can find one thing -- whether it’s adding a new ingredient to your smoothie, or meditating for five minutes in the morning -- it will make such a big difference in the long run!
